Two students per home option:
Upon request, two students can be placed in the same homestay environment so friends or relatives are not separated, and can learn together. Please note, better results are typically obtained when students are separated. Students who choose to live together must come with their own partner. Similar levels of Chinese will be necessary, since both students will receive instruction at the same time from one teacher. There is a 20% discount applied for each student sharing lessons with an accompanying person.
Multi Cities Program:
Students interested in experiencing the many different dimensions of Chinese lifestyle can book consecutive homestays in multiple cities. This is a great way to see different sides of China, such as the contrast between urban Beijing or costal Yantai. A discount will be applied to the second homestay that is booked.
Complementary Host Family Discount: Students who take our regular Chinese course in Beijing for 4 weeks or more will receive a 10-20% discount for a subsequent homestay course. For example, a trainee could take our required Chinese courses, work at an internship, and receive a discount on a homestay in Yantai.
If a student is interested in specific activities, they should schedule them in advance. These may consist of excursions, sports, or cultural activities with an adult member of the host family. The charge for each hour is the same as the teaching rate. Therefore, students can substitute each our spent carrying out activities for an hour of Chinese lessons. These substitutions must be prepared by the time of enrollment.
