Peking University
The Times ranks Peking university as the best in Asia and the 36th best in the world. Peking University is a comprehensive and national key university. The campus, known as "Yan Yuan"（the garden of Yan）, is situated at Haidian District in the western suburb of Beijing. It stands near to the Yuanmingyuan Garden and the Summer Palace.
Tsinghua University
The campus of Tsinghua University is situated on the former imperial gardens of the Qing Dynasty and surrounded by a number of historical sites in north-west Beijing. Tsinghua campuses cover an area of 406 hectares which accommodate all of the full time students. Research and teaching facilities include 7 libraries, 6 public teaching buildings, 155 research institutes and many school and department buildings.
Beijing Language and Culture University Beijing Language and Culture University has the main aim of teaching the Chinese language and culture to foreign students. It used to be the only institute of this kind in China. It is located in the Haidian District of Beijing, close to Tsinghua University and Peking University.
