Professional Chinese for Flight Attendants


 

Languages, and particularly Chinese, are always a valuable asset for flight attendants to possess. While it improves their ability to successfully communicate with passengers of different nationalities by creating a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for them; it also improves the position of a flight attendant within his or her airline - professionally as well as financially since many airlines offer additional pay for use of designated language skills.


With the help of some experienced flight attendants, who have visited our center repeatedly in order to improve their Chinese language skill, we have created a special short course call “Professional Chinese for Flight Attendants”. This course include 8 units to provide flight attendants with basic Chinese skills to successfully communicate with passengers.


Each unit provides necessary and commonly used vocabulary, commonly used sentences, as well as useful sentence patterns. In the classes, the flight attendants are able to practice through numerous exercises and an abundant number of sample dialogues.


Outline of the course:
1. Greetings: such as welcoming passengers at the gate/aboard the aircraft, seeing passengers of at the end of a completed flight
2. Direction: to help passengers to find their way around the airport and to their connecting flights
3. Giving security instructions, and announcements and handling simple requests for assistance.
4. Communicating for food and beverages handling
5. Making Duty-Free sales: be able to give simple description of products and communicating prices of goods
6. explaining on board entertainment
7. Making apology for the flight being delayed, turbulences, technical difficulties with on board entertainment equipment, a forgotten beverage, sold out duty free items, etc.


Classes Features:
Focus of course: It is focused on conversational training, speaking, listening. However, simple reading and writing can also be included upon the requests

Schedule: Classes are flexibly arranged according to the flight attendant's needs. They may start anytime except national holidays.

Duration: the course length can be from one week to two or three months..
Course Requirement: it is acceptable for beginner to book the course. People with higher level of Chinese language skills can book this course as conversational practice course。


This Intensive courses are recognized as Bildungsurlaub in Berlin, Hamburg and Brandenburg in Germany.
