Introduction to Chinese Business Internship Program
The goal of this program is to offer valuable opportunity in gaining insights into Chinese culture, especially regarding values and behaviors which drive Chinese business practices, and cross-cultural differences which underlie the global economy and our world. Trainees will have the opportunity at the same time to practice his or her Chinese language skills in a real life environments.

It should be understood that doing intern in China is a cultural and linguistic experiences and not an obvious first step on the career path even our center offers assisting services for permanent job hunting for international students in China as separated service.
In the work session, day to day involvement in the operations of a Chinese organization provides perspectives about culture, values and habits that cannot be learned in the classroom or in textbooks. Insights into work methods and socialization patterns are developed while interacting. Trainees benefit from experiencing Chinese society in a professional setting where exposure to colloquial language improves their own language skills.
With close tie with international community in China, our center provides a wide range of opportunities for the trainees to meet and build network with experienced businesspeople in China. The activities include the presentations, seminars, cocktail parties and other informal meeting of American Chamber and many Chambers of European countries.
Process:
Stage1: evaluation
Before we offer the placement in the program, the applicants need to send us his or her CV (or resume) for evaluation. Career goal, educational background and past work experiences would be carefully studies. In this evaluation process, Chinese language still is NOT a factor. Many of trainees in this program are total beginner to learn Chinese.
Stage2: In house training
For long term Chinese Business internship, there are 10 weeks in house trainging while it is 4 weeks for short term Chinese Business Training program.
In this period, there are 22 lessons of small group, general Chinese language and cultural study each week The focus of Chinese language study is on improving the conversation skills in daily life and work environments. If we do not have a group suitable to trainee's language skill level at certain time, the training will be converted into 13.5 individual lessons per week.
Also there is one session of Business training each week in the in house training period. Business training include seminar on Chinese Business environments, Business intercultural training, the field trips to Chinese companies or multinational companies in China and Business Chinese classes ( business related Chinese language classes)
Some cases of our internship in host companies
Stage3: Work Practice
The trainees will work in a selected company for 25-30 hours per week. The companies may be in the industry of import-export, advertisement, consulting, business services or others. Some of our trainees with intensive international business background work as assistant in business merger project and help host company when it deal with international partners; some of trainees help the host companies to start or update its English website and other promotion materials, and some trainee may serves as English language tutor for company management and co workers.
During this work stage, our center acts as organizer and coordinator. We actively involve and guide the trainee in the whole process. We provide the orientation and attitudes training for trainees before work session, we coordinate between trainees and host companies and guide the trainee if there is any problems occur.
For the short term trainee, the duration to work is 4 weeks while it lasts 10 weeks for the long term trainee. Extension for work is possible if it is agreed by host company and trainee.
Stage4: conclusion
In the final week of work session, each trainee must produce " the Summery for Work Practice". It should cover what he or she gain from work session, recommendations to the host company and recommendation for improving this program. Upon the completion of the whole program, a certificate for training and Work Experiences will be issued to each trainee. Also a formal Recommendation Letter would be issued by host company.
Enhance your business experiences in China:
* Business card: each trainee in Business Internship program will receive a box of business card with same design as our employee so he or she can use it in business meeting and event.
* Chambers' Events: Our center organize our trainees in Business Internship program to participate selected business presentation, seminar of American Chamber, European Chamber and other chambers as part of business training.
* Help for long term job placement: Our center assist the trainee in our Chinese Business Internship to search Permanent job placement in China. Our center maintains a comprehensive database of multinational companies and joint ventures operated in China. It also maintains a close tie with some Chinese business associations. It offer company database information, guide to update resume and to have effective interview for international students when they are look for job in China.

Business internship only program (no language and cultural study) --Fees: $ 800 for 4weeks. It is for some students who native language is Chinese and who only need business training and internship placement. The fees cover internship placement, once a week tutoring and single room accommodation. The internship is extendable at $150 per additional week.
