I'm not new to Asia, so it wasn't much of a cultural shock when I arrived in Beijing.
However, there are still some things which astonish me. Every time I cross the street,
I am really afraid of getting hit by a bus, a car or even by a bicycle. I still haven't
figured out who has the right of way. People seem to turn as they please. At least,
all of the drivers are honking constantly.Taking the subway seems a good alternative,
if you don't mind intense physical contact with strangers. Before I came to Beijing,
I never would have thought that so many people could fit into one subway train.
And even though Asian people usually avoid physical contact in public, in the subway
they don't seem to mind to be packed like sardines in a can at all. Public transporation
seems to put forth a different side of Chinese people, anyway: Spotting a free seat,
the leisurely-paced Asians suddenly become sprinters.
Today i was in the zoo of Beijing. Normally i'm not the greatest fan of zoos but when i'm
here i would to visit the zoo too. The normal Zoo isn't the best there are many animals like
in other Zoos too. But there are some special places like the Great Panda House. The Great
Panda House was awesome i saw pandas eating some bamboo and chilling in the sun and
nowhere else i saw Pandas before. But there are another great place in the Zoo, the Beijing
Aquarium. The aquarium has more than 1000 kinds of fish an many other things from the
sea like corals. There are 7 stations with fishs where you can see really big ones. The
greatest station is station 7. There is on different times a whale or delphine show. The
show isn't long but nice to see.
